This Agave is done with water soluble graphite which I haven’t used in a very long time. A friend posted it in our Cactus Monday group last week and asked who needed a challenge…..I can’t resist a challenge. 😄

“Agaves are called century plants since some species take 100 years to flower in the wild. However, in cultivation with adequate summer moisture, most agaves flower between 10 and 15 years of age and when they do flower, the tall bloom stalks attract hummingbirds.” Wikipedia.
After they flower they die which can be a problem when they can be 30 feet high.
Happy Cactus Monday!
